As a student, your first step towards getting Microsoft Certification would be MTA (Microsoft Technology Associate). An MTA certification helps students explore career options in technology, prepare for advanced studies and MCTS exams, and demonstrate fundamental knowledge of hardware or IT infrastructure or software technology.

Microsoft Certification Pathway

As you can see, there are seven fields where you can get certified being a beginner. Then you can also proceed to MCTS certification.

 

To help you get through the certification easily, MIC Nepal is organizing a two-day training programme on the preparation guides for the MTA certification examinations. The examination deadline is the end of this September. However, MIC Nepal is trying to extend the certification till December. The training will be held on fixed dates whereas the examinations can be taken at the time of your comfort (before the end of this September).

The cost for the two-day training is NRs. 1500 including the books and material you will be given for the examination preparation. For the certification exam, which costs USD 80, free vouchers are being given by MIC Nepal for students.
